Beautiful! But now I’m depressed. I had a CMP M1D, a NM, and a bunch more, but I’ve only got a couple left. Hang onto them!

Were all of these bought in person or some are mail order?

The WRA M1D(#4) was a hand pick at the CMP North Store. Three(#2, #7, #8) were 'luck of the draw mail order from the CMP. And the rest were hand picked at the CMP South Store. It doesn't help my addiction that I go to the Spring Talladega race every year and Anniston, AL, home of the CMP South Store is a good place to stay for race weekend.

The 42, 3rd from top. Is that a Boyd's or a Ironwood. I have a one of the orange stocks I've redone, but that laminate does look nice.

I bought it from Dupage Trading Company; but, I'm pretty sure it was made by Boyds. That rifle was a South Store Field Grade that came in a really beat up replacement stock. I originally intended to send it to Shuff for a mini g conversion. But once installed in that heavy laminate stock with really tight lock up, that rifle became a tack driver. I couldn't bring myself to have it cut down.

I really want a Remington 1903, pre A3. The South Store has been putting 1903s out about 10 at a time. I'm hoping that trend continues until April when I'm in town for the race.
