I thought they'd need to spread a load like that over more axles and wheels. I do see that the armor panels that shield the tracks has been removed. I'm not sure exactly what they weigh, but I know they are unbelievably heavy.
Cool find! Last spring or summer, I saw what looked like a life boat for an oil rig being transported down Rockville Rd., then 465. I think I posted pics here, somewhere.
That has got to be just a hull, because an Abrams weighs in at about 120,000 by itself which would put the loaded tractor trailer at between 145,000 and 150,000.
I once saw a military convoy right there on 465s & Washington st with a large rocket on a low-boy. A hand painted 4x8 sheet of plywood was mounted at the rear of the trailer. The sign said "One intercontinental ballistic missile..... Price - $!,000,000.00....... Please drive carefully! there was a large yellow smiley face to finish the sign
That tractor trailer combination is only good for hauling 80,000 lbs gross. He needs more axles to haul more. His banner is there, it is just flapping in the wind.

I think your calculations are slightly off. If I recall correctly, the M1 has a weight rating right at 72 tons when combat ready. When it isn't loaded for war, it should come in right around 67 tons. Granted, it has been a few years but I don't think they have changed too much....
