I'll kick a dead horse that's come back to life as well.
I'm for the free market approach.
Why penalize our country for appearance's sake?
Throw the regulatory crap out and let businesses breathe again.
So many businesses were regulated and taxed out of business. I understand building "shangri la" but I don't like the toll it took on free enterprise.

I have nothing to add to the discussion. I just found it interesting there are 5 different shooters in this thread. Tread lightly people, they're watching! :tinfoil:

Not just shooters, there were several regulars that left the Board for one reason or another. Some of them I miss.

I'm all for free trade. Just not to the benefit of communist enemies who will take our free enterprise and try to destroy us with it. They don't play fair, we shouldn't close our eyes to this and slit our own throats for todays profits sake.

Do you think the American public is prepared for higher prices on things? Also, keep in mind, the actual tariffs now that have been implemented have an impact on our imports from South Korea. That's a non-communist ally of ours.

Kaesong industrial complex says otherwise. Many things marked 'made in Korea' were made for the profit of the NORKS. (just not recently due to bad behavior by NK)

As for complaints from the public about higher prices...suck it up snowflakes. We should support cheap fish from the ChiComs so they can violate the territories of their neighbors? The people who would complain are not paying attention to anything but their self absorption.

Welcome to America, you must be new here.

(In your defense, after the destruction of Asgard, there isn't an easy way to commute.)

Good. I’m glad. Make the tariff higher.

1). In general.....The US consumer has already proven to not give a **** about anything but saving himself (the individual) a penny at every chance. Companies have figured that out and now only produce to the lowest price. When there’s third world labor out there, we aren’t competitive. Our consumers don’t give a damn that they’re hurting our own nation. Glad the .gov is stepping in in this instance.

2). We are the biggest consumer populace out there. The argument that we won’t have competition, quality of goods will go down, etc... is nonsensical. We have so many people wanting to buy buy buy that corporations will come here, manufacture here, and sell here.....especially with the new corporate tax.

    USA!
