tasco super sniper scopes

ok based on quite a few recomendations (and my wallet) ive decided on the super sniper scope for my 243.

i defintally want the fixed 20 power and would prefer a recticle besides mildot.

my question is what is the best price and where. i found one on ebay for 279ish. anybody know of a place that beats that?

SWFA SS 20x42 Tactical Riflescope

They have them for the same price but you don't have to go through e-bay.

opon further review i dont believe non mildot is a option

Yep... mildots only... i dont like them... i use the reticle like a plain jane scope since the adjustments are in MOA.... if you want MOA/MOA look at this same genre as the super sniper without the simplicity of fixed power

I got mine direct from SWFA.com...they bought the rights to the line from Tasco & they're still made by Hakko, who produced them originally for Tasco.

The wotacs are SFP.

Falcon makes an FFP scope in this price range but it can't be had in MOA/MOA form.

I think the SWFA SS is a good entry level long range scope and it beats the hell out of it's competitors when it comes to build quality, but I can't recommend the 20x version. (not the 16x either really). The glass just isn't good enough to support it and much extended peering through will wear you out optically.

The wotacs are SFP.

the super sniper is single focal plane because it doesnt have power settings
the wotac is a rear focal plane scope

Yeah, SFP being second focal plane.

Fixed scopes actually still have two focal planes, it just doesn't matter because they don't change the image size.
