I carry a 40S&W M&P full size most of the time, however i like carrying my wife's little 642 airweight on occasion. I've been toying with the idea of getting a snubby for myself as an alternate carry. I like the idea of keeping it in the same caliber, so the 405 is kind of a neat novelty of being able to use the ammo pile i have for my M&P. Of course i can always just get an airweight for myself and make 38 our family caliber.

I'm curious whether anyone on INGO has one of these or has shot one. The article in American Rifleman a couple months ago made it sound like the kick was nearly unbearable, from what i remember.

Apparently the 405 comes with 5 moon clips to hold the rimless .40 S&W cartridge in place, so that should make reloading faster, i would think.

I'd like to hear any experiences with this. Thanks in advance.

BTW, $1000 MSRP for the S&W 310 Night Guard will not go over with the wife. That's a bit rich for my taste as well. Plus the 6 round cylinder takes away from the carry comfort.
