With all the Glock and Springfield talk on these forums, I thought I'd drum up a little Taurus talk.

I'll start here are some pictures of my Desert Tan 24/7 OSS 9mm, and my black 24/7 pro compact 9mm.

I love both guns they are both 100% reliable, and the OSS is very accurate with its 5.25" match grade barrel, even with my limited hand gunning skills.

Here they are in their holsters the OSS rides in an ITAC retention holster, and the compact gets carried in a Kholster.

Here's my 24/7 Longslide in 9mm; has done exeactly what it should, every time. I don't even know if the DA/re-strke part of the trigger works; it's never mis-fired.

My PT1911 with Ed Brown SS parts. It's got Novak tritiums on it now.

All/both of my Tauri have been the best value firearms I've ever bought. I do hope I never have to deal with their customer service...

If I buy another hand gun it will definitely be a PT1911.

My friend has a PT1911 and a Kimber, the Kimber is beautiful, but the Taurus is the one he always gets out of the safe to shoot.

I will say that my PT1911 is very mag sensitive with JHP's. Mine works with the (ugly, IMO) factory mags, and Kimber "KimPro Tac_Mags." I gets sketchy with Chip McCormicks and most others. The ones it works with have noticably heavier springs, so maybe Wolff will help. But the bottoms don't come off my McCormicks.

    Nate,
Just noticed your 24/7 Pro Compact is "ribbed for extra pleasure" like my Longslide. How do you like it? I mean, aside from yours being smaller and all... ;)

Seriously, mine seems to be wearing well and I had concerns about that when I bought it.

Been entertaining the thought of getting a Taurus ThunderBolt pump action rifle in .38/357mag but want to get my hands on one first to try, and am in the process of talking my B.I.L. out of his Raging Bull .454 Causull.

My Dad bought a 24/7 in a .40. I thought it was a good shooting gun. He only shot it once, and traded it. For only $400, I would buy one but I do not want a carry weapon with a manual safety. I prefer the ability to decock, or have a trigger safety.
