Sue the school for failing to provide a safe work environment. Maybe go after the individual administrators first then the board members and the school itself last.

Sad. I had a cousin who quit teaching last year. Had a kid spit on him and nothing was done. It was the last straw and he walked. My parents neighbor gave up teaching around the same time. She was so stressed her hair started falling out.

The entire school administration in that district needs to be purged immediately. And considering the fact they kept this incident quiet for nearly a month, they also need to be brought up on charges and/or individually sued. Sounds like maybe the SRO(s) should also be part of that purge as well. Pure BS

Glad I live in Ripley County. If this happened the student would face charges, and be kicked out of school.

Years ago when a bus driver was beat pretty bad, they had a meeting with us to explain they have a person for media relations. Appeared to us they want to control as much as possible when media catches on.

Hope this guy sues and gets everything and then some.

A person really needs to consider moving if your teachers need a whip and a chair to get through the day. Nobody is learning anything in that type of environment.

We had an exchange student Stig, back in high school. He had a little much fun to the point it was illegal. He emailed the teacher when he got back to his real home and explained.

Screw the 'higher ups', the SRO's should have hauled the kid out immediately.

Wife has had 2 black eyes, one mild concussion and dozens of bruises this year already. She's an elementary school sped teacher. They can't suspend the kid doing these things because of their status. They don't have a program to put someone like them in so they are stuck in the school, in a self contained class and the teacher, principal and IA's all get to deal with it. Doesn't help the parent absolutely refuses to enforce any discipline whatsoever. There are no consequences in this childs life ever and they can't understand why they act like this.

My Aunt taught there over 30 years ago and left after a student became upset with her and threatened to "take her a$$ out". Comment to her from the powers that be was, he was just kidding, end of story. Nothing surprises me any more.

Elections won’t change this. We’re in a Republican super majority state with them controlling nearly every state and most local offices. If voting was going to fix it it would have been by now.
