    I thought maybe because it was saying one state can not discriminate against a non resident that it showed states who don't let no residents get a cc or recognize there states cc would be discriminating against nonresidents.

    It's strictly related to commerce, or more specifically alcohol licenses. It'd be a streeeeeeeeetch to take that to firearm licenses. AFAIK, no state requires you to be resident for X years before you can apply for a license.

    Furthermore, Alito left the door open for "public safety" issues, which an unscrupulous politician would use to prop up and non-resident carry.
