I have come across a quantity of lead, and I'd like to know what it's hardness is.

I haven't weighed it yet, but I have one brick of lead that measures 7"wide x 15" long x almost 3" high. I'm guessing somewhere between 80 and 100 lbs.

Is there anyone in the Lafayette area that has a hardness tester for lead, and would be willing to help me out?

i could probably give you a real good idea by looking at it or i may be able to give you an exact analysis if you melt down a sample
