    There are full size gvmt models, and Commanders, and CCOs, there are bull barrels and compacts, and black and blue, and stainless, and alloy, and (while I stick to .45) most available in multiple calibers. All are almost infinately customizable as there are more aftermarket parts available for 1911s than probably most other guns combined.

    Welcome to the club, it's a virus that's been around for over 100 years, i'm not looking for it to go away any time soon.
