Talked to my mom this morning. She's never been an anti, and is quite alright that I carry, but then she wandered off on how "some of these things should not be available online" and whatnot. Koolaid from the LSM is all that is, but some people are more susceptible than others.

Ever seen a Sears and Roebuck Catalog from the Turn of the Century?!

There was all kinds of cool crap one could order through the mail back then...

Posting on Facebook is only a step or two above scribbling on a bathroom stall. It's our lowest form of communication.

Posting on an internet forum, however, is enlightened and valuable as a means of communication.

People can't accept reality: crazy people do crazy things. There is no force on earth that can stop them: even the Soviets, for all their totalitarian control, still had thieves and murderers. There is this idea that any and all tragedies can or should be averted...which shows how disconnected western civilization is from reality.

And by the way, I have no idea who that dude is. Never heard the name, never seen the face. I have no idea why he said, "gun-obsessed conspiracy theorist"... he knows nothing about me and we have never interacted.

If you accidentally gave us his name, I wonder how he would respond to about 10,000 friend requests?:D That would be wrong. Or would it?:dunno:

Surprisingly, I've had the opposite experience. A lot of civil debates. Most of my friends are liberal, and the majority have the opinion that there should be more relaxed gun laws and a legal carrier could have made a difference in Aurora.
I had one friend of Iranian decent who moved from the US to the middle east a couple years ago post about how the right to bear arms isn't always good. I countered that it's always good and we can't regulate inanimate objects and expect a lunatic to change. A bunch of his friends from the middle east all agreed and said a crazy person would find another way. Gotta love it.
