Articles: The Connecticut Bill to 'Out' Gun Owners Shows Us a Nationalized Issue

Ok think about this for a minute. The libs want to shame gun owners, but as pointed out, if you are not on the list you are now a target too. So, being a good liberal anti-gun citizen (non-gun owner), your house is now seen as a soft target.

I think all this is a bunch of :poop: and I hope the states that do this are sued to the max by the inevitable victims.

Q: Are Indiana's records public? Could this happen here?

The Bloomington Herald started down this same path here in Indiana. The legislature then passed a law to make LTCH records private. So, the same can't happen here in Indiana (legally).

I read an interview with a convicted robber recently. He said these published lists were a gold mine for crooks. They now know where to steal a gun if they want it, and where to break in if they don't want shot. Personally, I think every home robbery victim should begin suing the newspaper (and the author/publisher/editor personally), and they should really be held as an accomplice to the crime.

Though I think its wrong to have these maps of gun owners, I dont mind having my name show up on a list of gun owners. I figure criminals will see that I own a gun and just skip my house for an easier target.

A little off subject but I feel if a person steals a gun it should be a felony just like when they rob a gun shop

This is a good point. Should we introduce this concept to our lawmakers? How does one go about doing such a thing? Of all the suggestions about improving violence this is one of the few that makes sense.

OR, they'll just watch your house until no one is home and then use a crow bar to raid your gun safe.

I think they should also publish a map of all those who own jewelry in excess of say $5,000. This would make a handy cross-reference to the map that shows who does not own guns

The American Criminal Justice System Died. Incarceration for Crimes has been watered down by the ACLU, Liberals, Socialists and the COST. It's more Expensive to house an Inmate than to put them up in a Five Star Resort. IF they are even Convicted, they get Out Early and many go back to a life of crime usually committing more heinous acts. Incarceration equals Medical, 3 Meals, place to flop, watch Cable, conspire with your homies, and all the free sex your heart desires. Psychotropic Drugs are handed out to control the incarcerated populace. They go off their meds, sell them, take them to get High or when WE the Government (taxpayer) stops paying for them then again they are out of Control :noway:

I am not ashamed to own a gun, or several for that matter, and as for being afraid of having my home targeted; well they can take that up with my dog. He is armed with a hefty set of teeth.

The maps are not accurate for ALL gun owners only those whohave a license. So those libs that want to skirt the issue are not registeredif they have a rifle in the home for self-defense.

Theft is already a felony in Indiana.

Breaking into a domicile to steal a gun is a Class B felony in Indiana (6 to 20 years & 10K fine).

Incarceration for Crimes has been watered down by the ACLU, Liberals, Socialists and the COST.

Maybe hang out in federal court and it will cheer you up?:D
