Just got off the phone with Buds. They will charge $25 for me to ship the gun back to them through the FFL that I used. They will not accept if I ship it myself. They would then offer me a refund or exchange. If I exchange for another firearm, I will then have another 4473 form to fill out and another transfer fee of $20.

I agree, that sucks. I'd rather have Allen fix it. I've used Allen multiple times and I've taken a class from him. His work is top notch and he will make it right. He will receive all of my gun work from here on out save the work on the CZ SP-01 Tactical I'm going to have Mr. Wizard do later this year. Allen is a top notch gunsmith and a personal friend, I'd have no issue sending him this type of work. That's my suggestion FWIW.
