I got to thinking on the way home about what we last talked about while I was leaving. I am turning 25 this year.... A special 1911 would be a good way to celebrate that.

From what you said I would lean towards the CZ offering if you like the MilSpec.

I am unsure. I feel like if I'm gonna get a milspec, I want the real deal. Not taking anything away from the CZ offering. I wanna think about doing a custom build to my likings. Simple, yet race horse.

I just got my 5" 1911 and now I want a commander too. Lgs has a range officer compact. Shew!! I'd like a colt combat commander!!!

I could have seriously walked away with a 10mm bobbed commander today. But I've seen the owner shoot, don't want any part of that.

The last 3 I attempted to do were a real pain in the A$$.
Get the CZ. It is the best made MilSpec I have seen. The internals only need about 2 hours of love. The sldie to frame is as good as most RO's I have seen.

Unless you want to get one like we saw today.

Tossing this out there for anyone interested, thinking about moving my P07. It's pretty much stock, other than the firing pin retaining pin, trigger return spring and I think it has the CGW defensive spring kit. Also have a .22lr Kadet kit for it.

Was your mother a classy lady? I still have that set of thin VZs in white. Some didn't like them, I loved them.... I would offer those to you if interested.

1 is to many and 6 are not enough.

These. They are the slim line and I found that if you didn't have the Pearce fingers in, they are pretty darn thin. Felt much better with the Pearce insert.
