Second time she's rolled the same one. Steep grade, turn, and a creek bank. Got both ATVs back to the barn and I noticed my hands were shaking badly. Stomach was upset. Scares are hard on the elderly.

Some bourbon cleared that up.

Hospital found nothing wrong with Mom after running several days worth of tests. Supposedly she was going home tonight. Waiting for updates from my sister as to what they recommend from here on out. I suspect wrong medication was the culprit. But I am not a doctor and haven't stayed at a Holiday Inn Express in quite awhile either.

I've been careful/lucky and haven't rolled mine in 20+ years. I used to make a small creek crossing often and coming out of it I had to stand and lean over the front of it to keep from flipping backwards. I finally wised up and cut a new section of trail so I could avoid the steep bank.

When you get a phone call like that, it's like N2O hitting the old engine. Your focus sharpens and everything starts moving quickly. She said she had hit her head, but wasn't pinned. Grabbed a FA kit and some rope and jumped on the other ATV. Traveled fast, but cautiously as another wreck isn't going to help. Her ATV was upsided own in a steep banked creek, pulled it back upright and she drove it home.

I'll be following this as I'm also on the hunt for tripod. I'm about ready to pull the trigger and order new. The one I'm looking at is right around $118 plus shipping. Not carbon fiber but a nice tripod just the same. Couldn't remember what Vortex I had purchased so went back to the store gave them some more money and confirmed what I had bought. Vortex Diamondback HD 20 - 60 x 85 picked it up for $100 under MSRP.

I've never rolled one, but during my younger and more reckless days have been thrown off and once hit a tree head on. The helmet kept me from injury , but to this day I think my neck is an inch shorter.

Great tools and I like riding them. These days I ride one out to where I'm going to walk, nothing beats a slow, quiet walk in the woods.

I didn't like the counteroffer on Ebay and I would have ended up at $96 used. I got tired of playing games on there and the peace of mind ordering new was worth the extra money to me.

That is the same one I was looking at and at the same site. Of course it looks like you grabbed the last one they had. My search continues.
