    Morning fellas! :coffee:

Mowing in the heat yesterday really took a lot out of me. I was dead tired by 9:30 and had a heck of a time getting out of bed this morning.

I just ordered a Tactical Innovations 10/22 receiver and all needed parts to bring the 10/22 up to the level needed for consistency. The old 10/22 will get put back together and might actually get the M1 Carbine stock it really needs to have.

I am really liking the hot weather but I don’t know if near 100 is appeal as much as 90 does. I usually love extremes in weather but 100 degrees and humidity is hard on the body if you have to do anything outside in it. 20 below can be dressed around but even if you go the TT route and mow in a sock, you are still going to feel the heat.

019-14222 Hawke Vantage IR 3-9x40mm Rimfire Reticle Scope 22 High Velocity.

Just ordered one of these for my 10/22. Had a 25 year old Tasco on it. Payed $143 shipped for it.

I’ve been happy with the Hawke that I have on my 10/22. I like the fact that they are US made and headquartered in Indiana. I do need to order the sun shade for mine though, as I find myself shooting into the morning sun a lot.

UOTE=churchmouse;7960755]I am hearing the siren song of a really shiny 1911 Standard.

I must be strong. The call of the siren is drawing me towards the rocks.

My strength is being drained off like I am in the clutches.[/QUOTE]

I'm not a fan of shiny guns. To much of a chance of reflecting light at my eyes. I prefer shooting them rather than admiring them.

Give me a lighter to blacken the sights and I'm happy.
