Going to roll down to the new Northern Tool facility this morning. A few things I need to get and not wanting to wait on the mail to get them.

    Morning all... :coffee:

I hear you SS, I'd love to be able to have an occasional dessert. I've been dieting for over a year now and mostly the cravings are gone, but not completely. I still feel like I want something else after a meal, as I spent my entire life having desserts. Of course, if I do allow myself a dessert, I usually regret it, so there's that. I tried making some healthy cookies that would make a reasonable compromise, but, well, they taste like healthy cookies... :):

My friend, neighbor, and caretaker for my getaway property gave me a fabulous gift.
I've admired this holster / gunbelt & buckle combo ever since we bought the place ..... and he wears it to do everything outside .... mow, repair fence, everything.

Every time I've seen him outside, he's wearing this rig, and I've always told him how much I admire it ..... especially since he told me he's owned it since he was 16 year old, and he's now one tick shy of 70. He's pure country, and grew up riding one of five horses to school when he was a kid.

Last time I came down, he came over to help me bring down a tree, and he handed it to me and said "it's yours now" !
I just put the Cattleman revolver in it for the photo, but it's really sized (including the cartridge loops) for a single-action .22LR.

BA I have a Navy revolver posted up under 38 Colt in the forum, it's out of the first lot the Navy ordered in 1889. Still shooting, although I'm looking for a set of grips. A gun out of that lot of 5K was salvaged from the Maine and presented to Theodore Roosevelt.

I'm not having a great start to the day but I remain optimistic. I'm sure it could be a lot worse.

Sometimes if it's a nice fall day but I'm not feeling up to going outside, I'll open a window for the breeze, put on some warm comfy clothes, and light a nice fall candle. That's always my suggestion if people want to enjoy the weather with minimal effort. :)

Sounds like a good idea. I have a little sun porch on the front of my house. I like to sit out there and read in this kind of weather. At least until the sun warms it up too much.

Good morning BA...always keeping you in my thoughts and prayers...if you want to get some time behind the trigger, just come up to the house. I’ll provide the guns and ammo.

It'll be a good while before I can do that. I'm on complete quarantine. I had nine hours of chemo on Friday so my immune system is trashed. I'm not supposed to leave the house except for medical appointments. My brother is bringing me all of my food. Should be a great fall. ;) But this is all for the good. Sometimes you gotta take a step or two back to get moving forward.
