And my wife gets pissed at me when I carry my gun into the casino, and check it with security, albeit I'm not a rapper, and I don't play one on TV. But just in case I were to win.....French Lick has a better system than Caeser's. Caesers has you remove your gun out in the open, and place it in a small locker.. French Lick takes you to a small room where you put your gun and mags in a locker, and you get the key for when you go to get it back. Just sayin'

I went to shelbyville several years ago and missed the signage on the door. There was so much crap (rules) on the door that I simply didn't pay attention, oops. No harm no foul. Spent a few hours losing $20 and came home with no one the wiser.. Shouldn't be against the rules/law to carry a gun in a casino, what an asinine rule!

I checked my gun at French Lick a couple years ago, they had a state trooper doing the checking in. I had to wait a few minutes for him to get to the entrance, he was off somewhere else in the casino. Anyway, nice guy, didn’t ask any stupid questions, just escorted me into the safe room and watched me lock up the weapon. We talked small talk for a minute and went on into the casino. I sat down at a slot machine and within 3 spins, I hit a hundred and something bucks, I looked at my wife and said,”I’m cashing out, let’s go”, so we walked back to the entrance and I told the security guy I needed to claim my firearm, so he calls on the radio for the trooper. This all took place in right around 10 minutes, and when the trooper walked around the corner and saw me standing by the safe room, he gives me the WTF look.

I explained what happened and how I always quit if I get ahead. He kinda looked a little aggravated, but he remained polite the whole time. :):

Is there some kind of enhanced penalty for carrying into a casino, or will they just ask you to leave?
Where she goes and I catch up has no signage on the doors. I just conceal but I have printed pretty well at times over the years, Ive never had any problems.
If there was a problem I would assume they would just ask you to put it in the car.

Hmm. I hardly ever go to a casino, but probably will when the one in terre haute opens. I didn’t know if was a felony like carrying into a school or something.

I was curious, so I looked it up.

It is a criminal offense to carry a firearm in a casino in Indiana.
A guy that used to work at my work got hauled out of Beltarra for having a small revolver on his belt. They eventually gave him his gun back and sent him on his way, but he was perma banned from Beltarra and whatever other properties they own, and had a long, unpleasant conversation with a couple of state boys and security guys.
