So a friend of mine is on these kick as of late that the earth is flat.
He's 48 years old, fairly intelligent, but also a former and sometimes present pot smokerHe also claims that we have not gone to the moon, that the moon and the sun are the same size, and that there is this firmament layer about 12km above the earth that we can not even penetrate.
How can I help him??

If he's looked at the consensus science evidence and still believes this stuff, he's a science denier and you'll likely not be able to convince him otherwise.
