If​ he said it, what makes you think he was referring to Democrats?

It appears that he tweeted this in 2013. The question stands. I don't see the quote as referring to one party or the other.

Well, IF he said it, and was referring to lies in government in a way that points up the hypocrisy, and then favors a candidate from whom it would be more difficult to find a true statement than a falsehood, that would be the disparity to which I was referring. That the candidate happens to be Dem is immaterial, other than that, as a more liberal than conservative person, that's who he would be more likely to back.

You're correct, though, he didn't speak of either party... though the one in power now has been there for almost 8 years, and the GOP administration preceding it was hardly what any of us would refer to as conservative.

If it came from a parody account, though, the point is moot.
