I was not in the Navy, but an Infantry unit has all of those characters. My first tour I was a supply man for the last two years. Glad I got out of that. Every time I see a war movie and there is a scrounger, Tim Hutton in the Green Berets, Tony Randall in Operation Pacific and Jay C. Flippen in Flying Leathernecks all I can Imagine is a stint in Leavenworth.
