Just discovered that WIBC is now being live video broadcast on X (formerly Twitter). Seems to run pretty smooth on the desktop and phone, so far. Not sure how much more data is used by virtue of the X video vs non-video sites like Iheartradio and TuneIn?

    :yesway:

I've been skeptical that there'd be a social media company that could compete with YouTube for video content in my lifetime.

Rumble is an alternative, but they have 10's of millions of viewers where YouTube has billions. Rumble pays better for smaller channels, and it is growing very fast. They have a long way to go, and it's still seen as the "conservative" platform. It's not mainstream.

I think because X is already has a large platform of users, and it is mainstream, and now it has a viable revenue stream for video content creators, X could overtake YouTube as the site for video content.

On a side note, I may start another thread on getting X (formerly Twitter) tips. I'm pretty awkward about navigating the site. It's how I stumbled onto the live WIBC broadcast. :ugh:
Please do. I can get around on X, but I'm only a casual user.
