    Apparently NBA teams are looking to drop the term "owner" when referring to team stakeholders, as some players claim the term is racially insensitive. Teams are now starting to develop new titles like "managing partner, governor or chairman."

    Some players say that the term owner implies the guy or group of shareholders that actually owns the team, instead owns the players themselves.

    Another example of ignoring the context of words completely.
