Many years ago all anti-2A people screamed about were handguns, rifles of any caliber or magazine size weren't even on the radar. It's all the same for those people and has been since the beginning, total prohibition, total confiscation. They are just looking for a start point or as 2A people from my era used to say, a slice at a time. AR-15s are just the media villain gun dejour.

Three day waiting period? How many of these shootings were with guns acquired (legally or otherwise) in the preceding week? Aside from that, does that mean if they order a firearm online on Monday and it shows up at their FFL on Thursday that they're good to go?

NONE of the proposed measures would work. They just keep trotting out the same ideas.
