We ARE talking about holding the EX and MA guys to a higher standard. I mean, you put that kind of score up you are pretty much ASKING to fall under a separate set of rules and regulations!

Over the line! Mark it zero, dude... Next frame.

    Sorry, it's a league game, Smoke. :D

When do they send the email? I need to get on this list.

We've normally received it by now, but I think they are waiting to see the condition of the range to make a decision. Drainage isn't the best out there (but what range does drain well??)

If/when it comes out, I'll post it here. If anyone shoots the match, be sure to put your email address on your scoresheet and then you'll get an email for every match.

I think they are pretty optimistic about holding the match this Saturday. They've managed to put together a couple of contingency matches that account for wet conditions.

Lets do this! Really antsy for this. As much fun as I had making a giant mess out of my classifier run, Saturday wasn't enough shooting. A guy could have almost gotten a 2nd run in with the time we managed to finish. I'm no fan of starting early since I have an hour drive but starting the classifier early, no matter what club it is, is probably a good idea.

I think we're all trying to thaw out from last Saturday:laugh:

True! All in all it really wasn't that bad. Aside from needing a pair of dedicated mud boots, everything else I've bought over the last few years for cold weather shooting has been brilliant! For the first time in a while, though, I'll probably have to replenish my Hot Hands supply; went through more this year than usual!

I'm glad its still on, I was worried when I looked outside this morning. Though we got more snow in Vincennes than down here at work in Princeton.

Are all/most 9mm in the lower power factor?

IDPA is scored/grouped a bit differently than USPSA. There isn't a Minor or Major power factor. Your ammo has to meet a certain power factor for each division. SSP and ESP is 125,000 CDP is 165,000 and I believe the 2 revolver divisions are 165 and 125,000 for ESR and SSR but TJ will be along to give the correct answer. As long as your ammo meets that power floor, you can technically use any caliber you want. It is designed for guns chambered in 9mm or larger but you could shoot 9, or .40 or .45 or .357 SIG in SSP or ESP as long as you can make power.

And just for the sake of it, Power Factor = Bullet weight in grains X velocity.

    Examples:
For CDP you'd need a 230 grain bullet traveling 718 fps or faster to make power.
For SSP a 124 grain bullet would need to travel @ 1009 fps to make power.

Anybody know what a 100 pack of winchester white box 38 special plinking ammo (130 grain) goes for at WalMart?

Found one while closet cleaning. Checked price at "Cheaper than dirt" & it seemed way too high, like 50 ish plus shipping :n00b:.

Anyway, anybody shooting Sat that wants it can have it for whatever WalMart charges.

You should say "...when they actually have it in stock." :D The prices at Walmart are probably so out of date that you could be charging them 1997 prices!

    And here I am:D ESR=165,000, SSR=105,000

Wow, 50 cents a round for 38! I'd put it at $36, maybe $35 because you're a nice guy:D There was an SSR shooter there last time- he worked the money table. Might be interested:dunno:

Speaking of 50 cents a round, I saw 223 selling for that today at a LGS, but only if you bought $20 worth of merchandise beforehand:n00b: Wasn't a total loss though- they just got in a shipment of Federal LPP and SPP. Let's just say I'm in good shape for the season now:cool: (or at least the next few months:):)

Sounds like I'm gonna needs to wear my goretex boots. :D

Not a bad idea! Gortex crocs are preferred:laugh:

No, there will be no chrono at any local match. The only time you might ever get checked is at a major sanctioned match- and not even all of them check.

Don't worry about it whatsoever. :yesway:
