    .
    Hi everyone.

Sorry to burst right in, but I just got home a 20 minutes ago, and I need to go to work in 10 minutes.

    Anyone wire a 220 motor?
I'm pretty sure I'm right, but I'm double checking because I don't deal with motors.
    3 wires.
Should be a hot, another hot, and the ground.
    Right?

    3 Phase?

Single phase is as you describe. 3 phase is different.

I'm wiring a 220 motor for an exhaust fan at the Veteran's Café.
Standard residential circuit breaker box, just big. double circuit breaker.

So it should be single phase 220.

I spent/wasted time today trying to wire a pigtail, but I was nervous. And I was wondering if it was 2 hots and a neutral.
    But, it's 2 hots and a ground.

So tomorrow I can bolt it up and wire it.

Bingo. Ground on a 220 single should be green.
