never installed a thermostat on a heat pump before. had to call Honeywell and 20 minutes later the technician on the phone had me in the deep programing menus and changing settings. Now to see if it works.

I will never own another place with a heat-pump. way more complicated system than needs to be.

it's about 10 years old.

and there is no way you can build a heat pump system as simple as a gas and A/C only!
