It was 1985 1 ton full 4 door with a 460 gas motor. Had been hit hard in the front. I found new sheet mettle from a 1996 that all fit with some modifications. I put some cool stuff on it and pulled my race trailer with it.

Ah...kicking around the idea getting a 1999-2003 superduty with the 7.3L diesel, gets better mileage then my jeep with more room in the seating dept.

That pic is of an '84, the only differences were the seats, steering wheel, and the turn signal lenses in front. I had an '84 with 200k on it, my current one is an '83.

I like the 96-97 body style...I would not get a 460 gas engine for myself, had a friend get 6-8mpg in that thing.

We pulled a 32' trailer with it. It got 8 MPG no matter what we did. Pulling, cruising no load or idling. 8 MPG....period....:)
Damn thing was stupid fast for a truck.

I remembered after seeing the pic.

Freind had a turbo bird. Yes we played with it. Yes, he blew up 3 engines before we got one to live with all the boost and a little bit on nitrous. Yes, it would eat up a 4 speed gear box if you were not careful.

I want to put this one back stock, but I want one to "play" with.
