Been ordering some more reloading supplies for 45-70. :spend::faint: I've got 90 rounds of cowboy loads, but I want to be able to load some hotter stuff for the new rifle that should be here tomorrow.

Great weather today here. Got the yard mowed and spent some time with the oldest grandson shooting his Red Ryder. He is getting to be a pretty decent shot. He wants a pellet gun now....I told him he still needed to get another 1000 BB's under his belt first:):

My brother loads 45-70, never messed with them, even though he loads in my basement. I think he cast his bullets ( we cast a lot of 38,9, 45)

I've still got a decent supply of lead 405 gr. RNFP bullets, but I was concerned about barrel leading if I load them hot, so I ordered a hundred 300 gr. Sierra SJHP, and another 50 pieces of Starline brass. From what I've read about this rifle, you can darn near load them up close to 458 WinMag levels. :rockwoot: You know... in case we suddenly have a feral cape buffalo problem in the neighborhood. :):

I so wanted to nap today, but I'm always afraid I wont be able to sleep at night when I have to work the next day.
Glad these 6-10 are almost over, we did about 4 hrs of work sat, dicked around the rest of the time. Got sent home an hour and a half early
