We use a lot of fossil limestone rocks and geodes that we've picked up on camping trips in our landscaping. But we don't use them for edging. I have a "rule" for Susan... don't put any rocks closer than at least a foot to 18" from the edge of the bed. That way I can put a wheel of the mower into the bed and not have to use the trimmer.
