I have heard the beckon of this siren call to me in the darkest hours of night. The 10mm has claimed me as another disciple. Now, onto the fun stuff, Colt Delta Elite or Kimber? What are your thoughts?

Kimber, it has better chamber support. VERY important if you want to shoot the hot stuff. The Glock is an awesome platform but budget in a aftermarket barrel also for better support

Genuine question....why do you say you 10mm needs the aftermarket barrel in the 10mm?

High pressure cartridges need the ramped barrel support to contain it without bulging or splitting the brass. Glocks have a ramped barrels but the chambers are cut loose for reliability. Make some sense I hope

I've been planning on getting a G21 Gen4 with a storm lake 10mm conversion barrel. I wonder if this route will solve that issue also?

Yes I did the same thing but I got a complete top end as my understanding the ejector and breech face are a bit different between calibers but the frame is exactly the same.

There are plenty of guys shooting the 10mm with full house loads outta stock Glock barrels, I'm one of em. But if you wanna extend ur brass life buy an aftermarket barrel.

Very cool info. I don't plan on reloading my brass, so as long as she ejects ok, I will be happy.

Ted Nugent carries a Kimber 10mm at all times. He admitted this while doing an interview on Guntalk radio.

And don't forget about Double Tap ammo co. They make some great loads for it.

My two cents, I have a Glock 10 mm and love it. I reload for it and have never had a feed problem. Good strong gun.:twocents:

I have a Delta and I reload for it. Never had a feed problem and I use 45 acp magazines from my standard 1911's regularly. I also pour my own 40 cal/10mm bullets for it and lot them all hot as the manuals recomend. Shooting the standard barrel that came in from Colt.

if you don't plan to reload, let some of us know. We may buy brass from you to offset ammo cost. If it is reasonable.

If I was going 10mm and had to get a 1911, colt delta elite would be my second choice. Dan wesson would be my first, and sti perfect ten coming in 3rd, If I had skills I would look at fuzion firearms and build what I wanted.
