Michael Gerson in the WaPo. What I read is that deliberately throwing the election to Hitlery is preferrable to not getting their own way. Petulant children who do not care what the people might want.

"Option 3: Support a center-right, third-party candidate for president...this candidate would probably have no political future, since he or she might tip a close election toward Clinton (which would, in fact, be part of the motivation)...

The problem here? Clinton is actually a dismal candidate, involved in an ongoing FBI investigation concerning the handling of classified material. A Clinton-Trump race raises the small but significant prospect of a Trump presidency. Which could bring serious and lasting damage to U.S. democracy and standing in the world."

Many on the anti-Trump side could in fact care less whether the Republicans ever win an election again. Trump represents an opportunity for the GOP to actively consider "who" their coalition is, and reflect on how it could be expanded upon. There are many who would wish that the Republican Party _never_ undertakes this self-reflective effort. They are not interested in leading the GOP back to Presidential victory.

The people who are shilling for tax cuts/immigration reform/trade agreements are mostly getting what they want, even as the Republican Party shrinks. These people could be perfectly happy if the GOP never controls more than one House of Congress. Now that Hillary has Bernie clearly under control, these folks have even less to worry about.

Interestingly that picture was used by the band, Kansas for their first album cover...

Personally , I think that I would choose a later album cover to be more representative of where we are at:

Good day for Cruz. If he can pick up some momentum and keep it close, a brokered convention might depend on the ~200 delegates of the others.

Which again leaves me wondering if Trump supporters might claim "stolen" if Cruz wins outright or at the convention. I could easily see Trump claiming backroom deals and establishment politics undermined him.

Between Trump and Cruz I can honestly feel alright flipping a coin, but the major issue I have for Cruz will play out in the general. (Yes, vastly different candidates, but in my eyes 2 potential positive outcomes, I just believe the risk with Trump is worth it.)

Call me crazy but I think his eligibility will become an issue if he ends up against hillary. I think Trump can easily handle the worst the dems will dish out, I'm not so sure Cruz can. I also doubt Cruz will pull the support from dems that Trump was managing to, because a lot of those disenfranchised Bernie supporters were going over to Trump, I just can't see them going to Cruz.

I'm just thankful to see nacro lubio is now finished.

What's he saying.....? "Hey guys, it's Saturday, and many of my supporters, that didn't vote, were too busy burning crosses?"

Yeah, let's talk about that crossover vote. In from exit polls I've seen there are 3 kinds of dems voting for Trump. First, the voters who legitimately want Trump to win, for example, working class voters who want made in America to mean something again. I think they're pretty solidly Trump supporters. Second some democrats have their "middle finger" voters too and aren't all that happy with a party that puts up a socialist and a criminal. The third kind are strategic voters, democrats who vote for Trump in open primaries because they pay attention to the polls that say Hillary beats trump easiest.

Don't forget that Trump polls the worst in the "no-****ing-way" category. There's not a "#nevercruz" or "#neverrubio" hashtag trending on social media. We say conservatives didn't show up for Romney? A significantly larger number of Republicans have vowed #nevertrump than stayed home for Romney.

For crying out loud, Tombs, do you honestly think that all those Democrats voting for Trump in open primaries are planning to actually vote for any Republican in the general election? Some aren't crossing over for strategic reasons. But do you think the crossovers for Trump that actually will vote for him in the general election will make up for #nevertrump?

If Cruz's eligibility becomes an issue in the general election then they'll need to kick him out of the senate as well. If he's not a citizen by birth, then he's not a citizen at all. There are only two classes of citizen. Natural and naturalized. If he's not a natural citizen by birth then he's not a citizen at all. He's never been naturalized. Send the ****er home to Canada.

There is a lot of bad Trump video being held until the general the will make Clinton look like a saint. Trump won't stand a chance for votes except by his current supporters.
