Alright after watching a horror movie i was thinking. It would be kind of cool to have some novelty silver bullets. So who has made some ?

At current market prices... a 180gr .40 S&W will run you about $13.58 per round... I can only afford to shoot those at "Special Howling Zombies". And No, I have not made any. But the Lone Ranger sure had a steady supply.

With a melting point near 1800 I don't think my Lee is up to the challenge, preheat on molds would probably be hard on them as well. No idea about fillout.:)

I have a silver plated 45/110... of course it probably doesn't count because it's an NRA novelty key ring thingy autographed by Tom Selleck.

That would probably do the job, now you just need Tom to show up with his Sharps.;)

If its just for novelty, and you arent trying to kill actual werewolves or vampires, then winchester makes a silvertip load in many different calibers.

Not really silver, but they sure look convincing.

Would need to spin-cast or machine.
    Plating seems a lot better.
Besides, gold would make a much better bullet and it would be lead-free.
Never knew where the Lone Ranger got his--unless he had a very HOT campfire and tungsten molds.

Just bearing the name "silvertip" would probably make them effective on zombies. :twocents:
