I finally had the pleasure of shooting one and I couldn't get over how well it shot; I figured it would suffer from the same problems most subcompacts do and that is punishing the shooter after about 2 or 3 mags. I could have shot that gun all day long, I was very impressed. It was quickly added to my 'must have' list!

Glocks rock!!:yesway: You have just started a long enjoyable relationship with the glocks. Just like Lays potato chips can't have just one. :ar15:

IIRC All '26s use the dual recoil spring, none of the subcompacts have rails, you probably got a gen3 since there is no interchangeable backstrap.
Here's a tip, if you carry a spare mag, use one out of a g-17, 17 rounder.

    Congratulations--great gun.
If it does not have the extensions on the magazine for the pinky finger, strongly suggest installing Pearce magazine extendions, either the PG-2733 (plus 1) or PG-39 (plus 2.)

Other than than, shoot and enjoy!

Agreed, I've got the +1 on mine and it does make a difference.

One sip o" the kool aid is all it takes. I used to be about as anyi Glock as it gets, untill I got a 17. I'm selling a gun to buy a G26! Is the back strap the only difference in gen 4 G26?

You'll love this gun. Like another poster said, carry 1 or 2 G17 mags for spares and you have a very effective defense package. Enjoy!
