In some ways things are backwards........ you gotta have a license to catch a fish, drive a car or operate a HAM radio but anybody with a pulse can reproduce and screw up another life. It gets controversial real fast but for some, just because you can reproduce doesn't mean you should.

As I understand it, there was a firestation nearby where she could have legally dropped the child off, no questions asked. I guess she was too lazy to even do that.

Rather than **** me off, it saddens me. This young woman, even though she was working and had job, was ignorant of the options she had available to her. Her friends were probably ignorant as well since this is the route she chose. Instead of Planned Parenthood, perhaps someone could start an organization called "Unplanned Parenthood," and make sure all at-risk young women of child-bearing age are aware of options. It seems the only time you hear mention of options is when something like this happens
