Several years ago, I ran across a used Mk II 22/45 in the case at Bradis.
So I bought it. (I also bought a used 10/22 and a CZ 452...as a newly wed...ahem).
Now I'm the proud new owner of INGOer and former Bradis employee Simon 6101's gun. He's a Ruger rimfire guru (10/22 platform specifically) - how could I go wrong?
Here it is as-purchased:
Then I shot INGOer BigCraig's Mk II 22/25 at some meet n' shoot. He had his dressed up in a Tactical Solutions PacLite upper receiver and a Tactical Innovations Stratus suppressor.
Being a follower - I wanted this stuff, too.
So I dutifully purchased a black matte threaded PacLite.
Then I dutifully invested in a Stratus and tax stamp.
But, being the guy that I am - it wasn't ever "good enough".
Until now.
I recently was made aware (via an INGO post!) that Primary Arms was selling their micro-dot Red Dot Sight (RDS) for just under $50. Sweet! A great price on a great budget RDS.
But then...how was I going to mount the RDS to the gun? Doh! Off to Midwayusa.com to find a compatible TacSol rail segment!
So I bought one. And figured I may as well spend even MORE money and I ordered a VQ extractor. Then I decided that I wanted to get a speed-strip kit for the gun, too. So I did.
Here's the final product with the rail and the RDS "soft mounted":
Haven't yet had time to install the Speed Strip kit nor change the extractor... But soon. I hope.
