‘Diversity is our strength’ or so they say. Lately it has been looking like a weakness with all the gnashing of teeth over guns lately. The U.S. is made up of various groups of people whose worldviews are diametrically opposed and irreconcilable.
Regardless of who wins the losers will be alienated. There is no compromise and views will be increasingly polarized. This is bad news but how bad is it?
Is the U.S. an even bigger powder keg than the Middle East?
