Back in the 80's Cold Steel introduced the Shinobu folders. These were some of the earliest production tanto style folders made and started a trend in the tactical knife world. Made with San Mai III steel, rubberized scales, and a sturdy locking system the Shinobus became popular quickly. The same knife was also made with a more standard clip point blade and were called the Clip-Mates. Mine have been in use since the eighties and still get carried today.
