I apologize for not updating, yes I did. The whole house filter was completely jammed up with iron. It was a carbon/sediment filter ($50) and I replaced it with a simple sediment filter and added iron out softener salt. The pressure is much better, not overwhelming but certainly livable.

Today my septic alarm is going off but only kind of lol. The red light is dimly lit and the alarm sounds like a sick chicken or something. When I hit the test button the light gets much brighter and the alarm much louder so I'm not sure what is going on. I removed the lid to the tank and the pump tank (thingy?) and didn't see anything that looked unusual so I'm not sure what's going on.

    Septic pump?
    (grinder pump)

Well, if it's similar to my grinder/sewage system, the alarm is set off by a level switch.
    There would be 3 switches.

Top one only activates if level somehow isn't pumped down when middle switch is activated. Sounds alarm.
    Middle one turns on pump.
    Bottom one turns off pump.

So, the alarm would go off if the pump fails, if the pump is "failing" and pumping slow, or if the switch itself is failing.

IF the system is like my system.

Hell I dunno. It's quieted down for now so I'm not sure what to think. I sent a text to the guy who installed the system, hopefully he'll get back with me and help me fire out what's goin on.
