bot the sr9 little while ago. put about 60 rounds through it, and had
some time to field strip and once over it.

While cleaning I noticed tiny bits of brass everywhere, I checked the
cartridges, none had holes but it kinda looked like the striker is traveling
in a slight arc, instead of strait in and out. The primers all have the round
divot but then like a sweep ascending out from it.

I don't know if this is normal. maybe the striker has a tooth on the end
or something that is taking these bits out.

    haven't checked ruger boards yet.

Does anyone know anything about this? So far my plan is to call
customer service tomorrow. Is this something that will remedy with
    further break in?

    shameless bump.

Probably not from the striker, but from the extractor.

As to if it's "normal" or not, that'd all depend on if it keeps happening or gets worse vs. goes away with just a little "wear" on the pistol.

Had the same issue with my glock 19 with certain ammo. Quit when I switched to magtech target rounds. Was usin winchester target rounds when it happened.

yeah, ive been usin' the winchester target rounds.

talked to ruger service. He told me It sounded like the extractor was tight.
and should stop once broken in.

I wonder'd if the ammo had anything to do with it.

don't know first new gun ive bought that is centerfire.
