The first time I took one apart, after several frustrating hours I really thought I was going to have to take it to a gun smith to have it put back together. I created some new swear words that day.

If ypu can rebuild a transmision in a 62 Buick you can assemble a Mark III. Can't everyone? What's this problem? :D

Replacing the magazine disconnect in a MKIII makes the process a bit easier for some reason.

Why was I expecting him to get his finger caught in the slide?

It took e about 4 1/2 hours the first time. About an hour the second. Then it got easy. No big deal now. I don't fear it at all. I loaded it to my brother so he could take a gun safety course. He said I'll clean it before I bring it back. LOL. he watched a few on line videos and just brought it back.

Funny. But really, it's not all that difficult after you have have done it a couple times.

I agree. I'm sure I'm the second least mechanically inclined person on earth( and the first is dead) and it's never been an issue for me.
