There was a table full of retro Colt AR 15 SP 1s and SP 2s right inside the door. I would have paid admission twice just for these. The guy had some really nice rifles and carbines. A vendor in the back room had a minty 6601 Match HBAR for 1k. No box, no manual, no cleaning kit, no magazine, no sling, just the rifle. Deal killer. Lots of near perfect Colt's and Smiths. Lots of beater Colt's and Smiths with crazy prices too. In retrospect I should have bought every loose set of Smith K and N frame target grips I ever saw loose. All in all, Tipton is the one gun show I always make time for. Shout out to Kevin, Charlie, Rick, Aaron, Surplus Jesus (Steve), and the Colt guy.

Thanks Dave, I also enjoyed the show . I made a couple good trades, saw a lot of friends, and the food was pretty darn good too.

+1 for BGDave comments on ridiculous prices for beater Colt and S&W handguns. These dealers must really like unpacking and repacking these sorry looking handguns show after show. I saw one dealer asking $1,000 for a S&W 686-3. Seriously? Oh well overall a pretty good show.
