I finally purchased a handmade knife, that I had been seeing at a local gun shop for a while...price came WAAAY down. Carbon fiber scales, Kydex sheath. I managed to get it shaving sharp, which took a while. I believe it will only serve as a last resort concealed weapon. Has any one on here ever used a blade such as this on a daily basis?

Titanium is notoriously hard to sharpen and doesn't retain an edge really at all unless it has some kind of carbide impregnated into the cutting edge. Titanium cannot be heat treated like steel so therefore remains "soft". As a last ditch self defense blade that's not going to get everyday use it should be fine but I wouldn't have a titanium knife as an EDC user.

Titanium is not a suitable metal to make a cutting edge from. It is useful in dive knives or EOD work because it is non magnetic and will not rust. It is light and strong but about as useful as bronze for cutlery use.
