So you're saying tomorrow morning is a bad time to go hell for bag limit on squirrels with my new A300? :ar15:

I’ve heard shots all day around me today. They should be getting pushed quite a bit, hopefully right to my freezer.

Last year opening day had a wonderful snowstorm, I wish that was coming again

What's the sweet spot for that bad boy in terms of range?
I've shot it out to 100yds using gallon milk jugs and water for reactive targets with it. It puts on a nice display.
However, I've got it shot in at 35yds.
I can hold it dead on out to 75yds. Where I hunt if I get a 50yd shot that would be rare. It's usually around 35yds.

It has around 1100 ft lbs of energy at 35yds or close to it.

The Ithaca Model 66, I believe. It kills on one end and cripples on the other. Those are the hardest kicking shotguns I’ve ever fired.
Correct. I’m sure it is but as with anything when hunting I hardly notice the recoil. I enjoy the maneuverability it has, and the action design offers a quicker follow up shot than others I have. Though I hate the original wood finish these Ithaca’s have, so I experimented with mine last year. I’ll probably try something else after deer season.
