    He’s about the last of that golden era. Hell he outlived all the boozers and smokers of that time period. What a shame but I hope he’s in a better place now.

    Apparently he did have is own run-in with illicit drugs back in the 70's, but hey... it was the 70's... ;)

    I got to meet him in the early 1980's when he came to Evansville for a charity concert. I was friends with the son of the guy in charge of the foundation and got to go back stage before the show. Still a fan of his music.
