I had a Glock 21 once but didn't like it so I traded it off. Have shot a couple of others and didn't like them either.
Only Glock I have ever shot and was impressed with is 40CalPunisher's g22.
    That shot nice
I wouldn't mind one of those

:draw:thats right folks, best Glock round these parts:draw:

I had to think about this one.

SIG P226 (IMO one of, if not the best combat 9mm)
Browning Hi-Power (Arcus 94 comic book gun FTW!)
CZ-75 (there are two things Czechs know, that is beer and guns)
Beretta 92 (I wasn't a fan of Berettas until I bought a 92FS on whim and loved it)
    Glock 17 (no explanation needed)
H&K P7M8 (to squeeze one is to love one)
    M&P 9 (liked it a LOT more than I thought I would)
............. the rest are also rans in my book. I am not a fan of Kahrs, XDs, or USPs or any polymer framed HK for that matter. The P7 was the best gun HK ever put out IMO and I am glad I have one (had two, but sold one because I needed money more than I needed a brace of P7s).

Funny thing is I don't currently own a P226, but I had one in .40/.357 (both barrels) and loved the gun, but wasn't thrilled with the calibers (I don't like .40 and .357 is too expensive). I would love the get one in 9mm sometime, but I don't have the funds right now.

Now if this was a list for best .45s. That would look like:

    1911
    1911
    1911
    1911
    Glock 21
    1911

    :D

I have an XD and a Glock and, while I prefer the XD, I'd carry either.

Same here. My XD is new and I'm really lovin' it right now. Just got it yesterday and put 50 rounds through it. I haven't shot anything that feels that good in awhile. My Glock 19 is also good....I'm just a little infatuated with my new gun at the moment.

I don't claim to be an expert, but I found the Glock and the XD to be comparable. I chose the XD because I liked the way it fit my hand better. I recognize that the Glock has a history of reliability that the XD is still too new to have matched, however, which is why I have both.

Agree with the High Power, CZ75, and S&W 39. Also think the P38 Walther needs at least honorable mention as one of the first double action 9 mm. pistols. Had a Colt Commander in 9 mm once, function looks and size were great but you couldn't keep it on a sheet of plywood at 25 yards. Really like the P7M8 too. As for Glocks, be sure you use soft primers. I've seen too much screwing around with these and lots of lite-strike problems to ever buy one.

Well I don't know what criteria other people are using to determine if a gun deserves to be in the "Top Ten 9mms", it looks like many are taking a tactical/combat approach. Not exactly the filter I would use, but whatever. not saying it is #1, but I am surprised that no one has mentioned the Glock 34. Does no one here own one? I like the 17, but if I had to choose between 17 and 34 on my list, the 34 would have a higher ranking. Does no one else feel this way?
