Tough Mudder 2013

Anyone doing one or already have done one this year? I'm doing the chicago one this weekend and I'm pretty excited to see how I do? If I like it I will be doing another. Any last minute tips on what I should wear? I'm going with dry fit shorts and tshirt and light foam running shoes...to hopefully dry quickly.

Your shoes won't dry, so don't worry about it too much. Just wear old shoes that are comfortable. Duct tape them on.

Drink a ton of water every day starting last week. You don't want to be dehydrated.

Those are pretty brutal. I don't have the upper body strength to do it like you are supposed to. The million volt pond makes me the most nervous actually.

I want to do it but can't this year, and next year doesn't look to promising either.

Im doing the one in Kentucky in October this year. Wear a pair of shoes that will be comfortable to run 12 miles in. Duct tape them around the ankles to keep the bigger debris and mud out. A wet suit is a great way to go as far as attire. However, I wear a dry fit shirt and my Ranger Panties. Im a man like that.

Is it better to wear longer socks as well?
