    Yup!
........ rush thru a red light as they estimate that they can't stop in time..................
Uh uh nope. These people are flying through the red lights on purpose. For instance, I'm way in front of them, getting into the left turn lane and once I've stopped at the red light, they enter the intersection on red. They could stop, but they don't want to wait.

This wouldn't be an issue if we just had more roundabouts.
    :):
Yeah, you do know that Brainardville now has a "Traffic Monitoring System" at one of its roundabouts. I haven't seen it, but I bet you can turn right on red and people do it without slowing down.

I did NOT know that. I have questions... WTH is a "Traffic Monitoring System", what is a light doing being associated with a roundabout?

Google'd it. Meh, it puts a governor on the traffic coming into the roundabout during specific times so traffic doesn't back up on the off ramp from Keystone. They identified a glitch with using a roundabout in that area that only occurs during a specific time when traffic is different than all other times, fixed it.

Ah, I thought it was gov't speak for a traffic light.
Is this like the perpetual green arrow they had 30 years ago for southbound Allisonville turning east onto 82nd St? It only turned off when there weren't any more cars turning left, so uh.....it didn't turn off. Guess they forgot to do the traffic study first.
