Congressmen on both sides of the aisle are trying to extend the PATRIOT Act and make some aspects of it permanent. The sunset date happens in 3 weeks and they proposing an extension bill, as well as discouraging people from debating it.
“Having this debate year after year offers little certainty to agents utilizing these provisions to keep the nation safe,” said ranking member Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa.

Oh I just loved to throw this in the face of Obama nut huggers the first time the Dems extended it after the election.

Good times... Looks like I get to do it again.

    This was Georgie's deal.
You dare smear the good name of George?? :):

I thank God for him every time I check the value of my home or my retirement account.

I do have good news, though...

I just saved a ton of money on my car insurance. :D

And my retirement gained almost $5K last quarter. First time in several years I gained much of anything.

If one of them doesn't do you...the next one will.

:hijack: Sorry... I just wanted to express my gratitude for George.

As much as it would be fun to blame Obama or George, I believe it was Congressman Mike Rogers of Michigan who introduced the legislation to extend it...

Not that another Congressman would not quickly fill his shoes if he did not, I just figured that if we are going to point fingers it might as well be in the correct direction.
