It seems that for a FFL transfer most shops are charging $25 to $35. Does that sound about right? I had a shop in Noblesville tell me $50 which I think is too high.

It's only too high if you go ahead and go through with it.

Call around shops in Indy. It's probably worth a half tank of gas to travel a bit.

Yes, that is high. I believe the average is $25. If you are close to Noblesville, try Adobe it isn't that far away.

I was looking thru a list of LGS in Massachusetts and found at least on that charged 10% of the price of the weapon.

There's a place in Bloomington (Four Seasons Gun Shop) that charges only $15.

:+1: Rick at Adobe Premium Firearms is awesome. Fairly priced on his services and merchandise. True gentleman...picked up 3 PMags from him just last month for pre-crazy price. Please don't call or email him for PMag deal, it was his last 3.

Kodiak Shooting Range in South Bend charged $20. They called me quickly when the item came in, and handled the paperwork in a matter of minutes. If I can't find it locally, they will get my business again.
